WHEREAS, Twin City Iron and Wire Company,, 35 West Water Street, has
requested permission to construct a retaining wall /aond across Lots 4, 5
and 6, Block C, Robertsongs Addition to West St. Paul; and

WHEREAS, The construction of the retaining wall before the winter
season is a matter of extreme urgency and necessity to said Twin City
Iron and Wire Company; and
WHEREAS, An ordinance, C. F. No. 230405, granting permission to said
Twin City Iron and Wire Company to proceed with the construction of said
retaining wall has been prepared and introduced to the Council of the City
of Saint Paul on October 4, 1966, and has been read before said Council,
with eventual adoption set to occur on October 20, 1966; now, therefore, be
it I
RESOLVED, That in view of the - extreme urgency of the request, the
Commissioner of Public'Works is hereby authorized and directed to issue a
permit to the Twin City Iron -and Wire Company for the construction of a
retaining wall on and across Lot;S 4, 5 and 6, Block C, Robertson's Addition
to West'Saint Paul and Edward Street, said wall to extend from the westerly
terminous of the existing concrete block retaining wall located on Lots 2,
3 and 4, of said Block C to the center line of Edward Street, the exposed
face of said wall to be located five feet more or less northerly of the
southerly line of said Lots 4, 5 and 6, and the westerly extension thereof,
subject to the same conditions and requirements as set out in the ordinance,
C. F. No. 230405, pending before the Council of the City of Saint Paul, 1
informal approval of said construction being hereby given in anticipation of
the final adoption of said ordinance.
