230433Orizinal to City Clerk ORDINANCE 230433 COUNCIL FILE NO 3 PRESENTED BY ORDINANCE NO 1 An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 12222, approved June 27, 1962, entitled: "An Ordinance granting permission and authority to the Village of Mendota Heights to connect the public sewer system of said Village of Mendota Heights to the public sewer system of the City of Saint Paul and thereafter maintain-and operate the same as an outlet for said public sewer system of 'said Village for public sewage conveyanbe and disposal purposes and providing applicable terms and conditions. This-•is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preserva- tion of the public peace, health and safety." as amended. TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1, That Section of Ordinance No. 12222, approved June 27, 1902, as amended, is hereby further amended so as to add the following described area situated within the Village of Mendota Heights in Dakota County, Minnesota: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of First Avenue and the East right -of -way line of Dodd Road (Highway No. 49); thence Easterly at right ( angles to Dodd Road, a distance of eight hundred .feet (8001) thence deflecting to the right ninety degrees (900) for a distance of four hundred feet (400'); thence deflecting to the right ninety degrees (900) for a distance of approximately eight hundred feet (8001), to the East right -of -way line of Dodd Road; thence Northerly along the East right -of -way k line of Dodd Road for a distance of approximately i four hundred feet (4001) to the point of beginning .and there terminating. The aforesaid area shall be covered and included under all the terms, provisions and conditions of Ordinance No. 12222, as amended and to the extent that the same may be applicable thereto. Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an 'emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication. Summers Corporation Counsel Room 316, Building Attention: Jerome Segal Re: Request for Amending Ordinance - Village of Mendota Heights Dear Mr. Summers: The Village of Mendota Heights desires to extend their public sewer system to serve property outside their present,'authorized service area. It is the recommendation of this department that the attached ordinance be approved to authorize additional area that includes the Somerset Golf Course Club House and Associated Buildings. Due to the short time remaining for sewer construction for this season and the great need that the Country Club has for public sewer and the disturbance to the golf course that such construction entails, it is our further recommendation that an emergency ordinance be employed for this permission.• (:LDes,Lauriers ry truly, �� \ n A.
