PAUL COUNCIL NO OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FILE CO CI RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATE 229793 WHEREAS, the Committee on Lands, composed of the lbyor, the -_Purchasing Agent, and the Commissioner of Public Works of the City of Saint Paul has secured an ,y agreement for the purchase of that certain property described as follows: The southwesterly 19 feet of Lots 1, 13, 14, 15 in Mayall's Subdi- vision of Block 1 of Whitney and Smith's Addition, and Block 17 of Robert and Randall's Addition to the City of Saint Paul WHEREAS, the property described therein is necessary for the opening and widening of Jackson Street, and the price at which the property may be purchased is at the total amount of $46,690.00, a fair and reasonable price according to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; and WHEREAS, said committee has recommended the purchase of said property at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of said committee submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it COUNCILMEN AUG 12 1966 Adopted by the Council 19— Yeas Nays Carlson Dalglish proved AUG 12 1665 19— Holland / Meredith In Favor A,4� Peterson Mayor Tedesco Against "d Mr. President, Byrne PUBLISHED AUG 2 0 1966 X22 RESOLVED, that pursuant to the Section 303 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the purchase of the land described as: The southwesterly 19 feet of Lots 1, 13, 14, and 15 in Mayall's Sub- division of Block 1 of Whitney and Smith's Addition and Block 17 of Robert and Randall's Addition to the City of Saint Paul RESOLVED, further, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay to United Properties Incorporated, vendor of said property, the sum of $46,690.00 in the manner prescribed in said agreement, to wit: $4,000.00 on September 1, 1966, and $42,690.00 on January 31, 1967, plus interest of six percent per annum from September 1, 1966, to January 31, 1967, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendor from County Aid Funds upon their furnishing an abstract of title continued to date, evidencing good marketable title in United Properties Incorporated and the total payment to be made upon tender by said parties of an appropriate warranty deed conveying title to said property to the City of Saint Paul.
