PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK UNCI L RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM Tedesco DATE Au COUNCIL FILE NO. 220" 780 lo. 1966 WHEREAS, It is deemed necessary by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Buildings in the successful operation of the Como Zoo facility to take advantage of opportunities to economically add to the animal population and /or to diversify the types of exhibits in said zoo facility whenever possible; and WHEREAS, One (1) yellow and blue Macaw with a value of One Hundred Twenty -five Dollars ($125) has been declared as surplus (Con- demnation #3955) by John Fletcher, Director of Como Zoo; and WHEREAS, One (1) African Rock Python, one (1) Red Tail Boa, one (1) Stump Tail Skink, one (1) Uromasticus, one (1) Star Tortoise, and three (3) cages, with a total value in excess of One Hundred Twenty - five Dollars ($125) have been proposed in even exchange for the surplus Como Zoo Macaw by David A. Swanson, 3128 Columbus Avenue South, Minne- apolis, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, The above listed animals and cages are desirable for exhibit purposes in Como Zoo, and it is to the best interests of the City of St. Paul to acquire said animals and cages; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of St. Paul hereby authorizes the Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Buildings to make the exchange as proposed in the preced- ing paragraphs hereof.
