Resolved, That the Purchasing Agent be and is hereby authorized with the
consent of the Comptroller, to enter into an agreement with Elliott Business
Machines, Inc. for rental and use of Elliott Addressing equipment for a 5 year
period on a monthly rental of $49.97 with the options as shown on the agreement
at the end of the 60 month lease period. Initial supplies to be included in
the resolution. (Payment to be made by contract claim form monthly.) without
advertisement or competitive bids pursuant to Section 290 of the Charter of the
City of St. Paul, as this is patented equipment; and the proper City Officials
hereby are directed to execute said agreement.
