RESOLVED, That Gloria Dei Lutheran Church be and
.hereby is granted a permit to construct a 138 -car parking
.lot on property located on the north side of Highland Park-
way between Snelling Avenue and Pascal Street, more
particularly described as follows:
-Lots 5, 69 7, and 8 and vacated alley accruing;
except that part of lot 8 dedicated for alley '
purposes, Auditor's Subdivision No. 60 St. Paul,
Minn., and the east 478 feet of the west 528
,feet of that part of Section 10 lying south of l
Eleanor Street and north of Highland Parkway in
Section 10, Township 28, Range 23;
all in accordance with final plans dated Received July 11
.19662 subject to the condition that said applicant- permittee,
.and its successors and assigns, shall make due compliance '
with all applicable provisions of Municipal ordinances, State
statutes and rules and regulations of public authorities having
cognizance.

This is written in response to the application for a permitito
construct a 138 car parking lot by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
The property is located on the north side of Highland Parkway
between Snelling Avenue and Pascal Street and is described as
Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 and vacated alley accruing, except that part
of lot 8 dedicated for alley purposes, Auditors Sub. No. 601
and the east 478 feet of the west 528 feet of thatpart of Section 10
lying south of Eleanor Street and north of Highland Parkway�in
Section 10, Township 28, Range 23.
This matter was considered at the May 19, 1966 Board of Zoning
meeting. The staff reported that the plans %'meet the design
standards for this type of facility. The Traffic Engineer has
reviewed the plan as to traffic and recommends that the westerly
driveway and either the second or thiid driveway on Eleanor {Avenue
be removed, and that one of the driveways on Highland Parkway be
removed. I
It was the recommendation of the Board that the permit be granted
provided that the applicant secures approval of the plan from
the Traffic Engineer.

Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House in the City of,
St. Paul at 10:00 a.m, on July 71 1966, on the application of
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for permit to enlarge existing parking
lot to 138 -car capacity on the following property: Lots 5, 6, 7i
and 8 and vacated alley accruing, except that part of Lot 8 dedicated
for alley purposes, Auditor's Subdivision No. 60 and the east 4718 ft,
of the west 528 ft. of that part of Section 10, lying south of
Eleanor Street and north of Highland Parkway in Section 10, Township
28, Range 23. The property is located on the north side of Highland
