Sir: BARRY E. MARSHALL, city response, Clerk. is written in res to the petitio n of the Northern (July z, lsss) p ble Iron Company 'to rezone7from "B" residence to "light industrial" property located on'the east side of Duchess Street between Wells Street and Sims Avenue, described as Lots 38, 39, and 40, Block 2, Auditor's Subdivision V. This matter was considered at the June 16, 1966 Board of Zoning meeting. The property consists of 3 lots with 150' of frontage on Duchess Street, and an area.of 24,292.5 square feet. The area zoning is as follows: south and west - "in- dustrial"; north and west - "B" residence; northwest - "C" residence. The area uses are as follows: north - 1- family; east - a 3M parking lot; south - 1 family; southwest - a power sub - station; west - single- family; and northwest - multiple family. The Comprehensive Plan recommends "light industrial" for the area. It was the finding of the Board that it would be reasonable to rezone the property since it would be an expansion of existing "light industrial" zoning and since the Comprehensive Plan recommends "light industrial." Therefore, the Board of Zoning recommends approval of the petition to rezone to "light industrial." Very truly, yours, Noland R.
