Examples of work performed: To have charge of the capital improvements section in the Bureau of City Planning. ' To act as executive secretary of the Long -Range Capital Improvements Budget Committee, and to assist the Committee in preparing long - range capital improvements programs, in determining priorities and methods of financing, and in developing a program for continued review. To meet and work with the directors of other agencies such as Housing and Redevelopment, Port Authority, Schools, Metropolitan Planning Commission, Sanitary District, Metropolitan Airport Commission, and the Ramsey County Board. To work with other City departments and to determine sources of data, develop data collecting systems, conduct research and to evaluate the results of studies and surveys. To prepare charts, graphs, technical and financial information needed in the studies by the Capital Improvements Committee. To prepare reports and articles for publication, and to appear before interested groups for the purpose of providing information and selling programs. To determine long -range capital needs and to determine methods of financing such needs. Minimum qualifications: College graduation with major courses in City planning, engineering, landscape architecture, architecture, business or public administra- tion or one of the closely related social or physical sciences, and five years$ professional planning or public administration experience, at least two years of which must have been in work having to do with budgeting for capital improvements. A Master's Degree may be substituted for one of the above required years of experience.
