Resolved, That upon the petition of
the Board of Water Commissioners of
the City of Saint Paul, that section of
public alley hereinafter described be
and the same hereby is vacated and
discontinued as a public alley:
the north -south alley in Block 4,
The West St. Paul Real Estate and
Improvement Syndicate Addition
No. 1, lying between the south-
easterly line of State Street and
the south line of Lot 7 of said
block extended westerly;
subject expressly to the following con-
ditions and reservations:
1. That the vacation be described as
follows: vacate the'north -south alley
in Block 4, The West St. Paul Real
Estate and Improvement Syndicate
Addition No. 1 lying between the
southeasterly line of State Street
and the south line of Lot 7 of said
block extended westerly;
2.That the vacation be subject to all
the terms and conditions of Section
228 of the Legislative Code, as
amended, regulating the procedure
and prescribing conditions for the
vacation of public grounds, streets,
alleys, and highways in the City of
Saint Paul;
3. That the petitioner deed to the City
of Saint Paul that portion of Lot 11,
Block 4, The West St. Paul Real
Estate and Improvement Syndicate
Addition No. 1, lying east of State
Street and between the north and
south lines of the-east-west alley in
said block extended westerly;
4. That the petitioner, being the Board
of Water Commissioners, a public
agency, and in view of their dedica-
tion of certain lands for alley pur-
poses as described above, pay to
the City, the sum of $1.00 as com-
pensation for the vacation.
