Gentlemen:
A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on this
date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known as
298-300 No. St. Albans Street, described as the West two-thirds
of Lot 6, Merriam'�s Rearrangement of East 106. 55 feet of East
third of Lot 9, Smith` and Lotts Outlots, Saint Paul, Minnesota.
This property is owned by: .
James Tracy, 600 St. Paul Building, 6 W. Fifth St. , St. Paul
In the matter of condemnation of the dangerous structure thereon,
the following resolutions were adopted by the City Council:
C,F. 224435, adopted by the Council July 13, 1965, (published •
July 17, 1965) set a public hearing at 10 ArM. on Augst 17, 1965.
C.F. 224960, adopted by the Council �lugust 20,, 1965, �published
August 28, 1965) ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost �
and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control
thereof. � .
C.F. 225996, adopted by the Council November 23, 1965, (published
November 29, 1965) directed� the Commissioner of Parks And Recrea-
tion And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and
remove the two family dwelling thereon, and do any and all things
therein necessary for the protection of life, limb, and adjoining
property.
The Contract� Committee awarded the contract for wrecking to ,
Minnesota Lumber & Wrecking Corporation f or the sum of $658.00,
in accordance with specifications and Informal Bid No. 9486.

C.F. 229471, adopted by the Council July 13, 1966, ,(published
July 16, 1966) provided that the wrecking expense of $658.00, and
expense of th•e Department of Parks �nd Recreation 4�,nd Public
Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of
$111.46, making a total of $769.46 be paid out of Wrecking-Build-
ings-Demolition Account0976-256, and, in the event said sum
proves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to
0976-256.
The building has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a registered
bill mailed to the owners.
We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days�
notice to consider any complaints about the expenses incurred
and to confirm the amount.
