RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, materials, skills and
facilities, light, power and other apparatus necessary for the complete construction of
the TWENTY MILLION GALLON MCCARRONS FINISHED WATER RESERVOIR to be located at the Water
Department's Treatment Plant for the City of St. Paul Water Department to STANDARD
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. A DIVISION OF THE KNUTSON COMPANIES, INC. in accordance with
City plans and specifications therefor attached and the Formal Bid #1983 of said
Standard Construction Company for the contract price of $1,228,500.00 (and unit price
of $1.65 per cubic yard of additional excavation, storage and compacted backfill, if
authorized by the Engineer in writing) such bid being the lowest andrsaid Standard
Construction Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel .
be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper
City officials hereby'are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
