� �IHEREAS, Miller & Holmes Service Station, 721
. Arcade Street� Saint Paul� Minnesota� has requested permission
to excavate for and construct certain gas and oil lines under
the alley in Block 59, Arlington Hills Addition; and
WHEREAS� The construction of the gas and oil lines �
befo're the w?nter season is a matter of extreme urgency and
necessity to said Miller & Holmes Service Station; and
WHEREA�, An ordinance� C. F. No. 2�0929 , granting
permission to said Miller & Holmes Service Station to proceed
with the construction of said gas and oil lines has been
prepared and introduced to the Council of the City of Saint
Paul on November �� ,- 1966, and has been read before
said Council, with eventual adoption set to occur on
� • �_�"December 8 , 1966; now, therefore� be it
RESOLVED, That in view of the extreme urgency of
the req:ue�t, the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a permit to Mi11er & H�nes
Service Station for the excavation and construction of certain
gas and oil lines under the� alley in Block 59, Arlington Hills.�
Addition, between 16 feet and 22 feet westerly from the west ' �
� line of Arcade Street, subjeet to the same conditions and require-
ments as set out in the ordinance� C. F. No. 2�o929 , pending - ' .
before the Council of the City of Saint Paul, informal approval •
of said construction being hereby given in anticipation of the
final adoption of said ordinance.
