WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Ramsey County has determined
that the old morgue site is surplus to the needs of Ramsey County and has therefore
sold the old morgue site to pest Publishing Company, and
WHEREAS, The County of Ramsey has constructed a new morgue facility partly
on land owned by the City of Saint Paul, and the Council of the City of Saint Paul
has adopted the recommendation of the Assistant Valuation Engineer that the City
transfer its land at the new morgue site to the County of Ramsey in exchange for
the net proceeds arising from the sale of the old morguekite, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve
the transfer of the following described real estate to the County of Ramsey in ex-
change for the sum of Three Thousand Nine Hundred Forty -seven Dollars and Ninety
Cents ($3,947.90), said sum constituting the net proceeds arising from the sale of
the old morgue site, and the proper city officers are hereby authorized and directed
to execute a Quit Claim Deed conveying the following described real estate to the
County of Ramsey:
"All of Lot 14, and, except the Northeasterly 25 feet thereof, Lot 13,
Auditor's Subdivision No. 44, St. Paul, Minn.; also those parts of
Lots 2 and 15, Auditor's Subdivision No. 44, St. Paul, Minn., con-
tained within the following described lines: Beginning at the south-
easterly corner of Lot 12, Auditor's Subdivision No. 44, St. Paul, Minn.-
thence northwesterly a distance of 122.85 feet along the southerly
line of said Lot 12 and its elongation to the westerly line of Lot 11,
Auditor's Subdivision No. 44, St. Paul, Minn., thence northeasterly
a distance of 113.09 feet along the westerly lines of Lots 11, 13, and 2,
Auditor's Subdivision No. 44, St. Paul, Minn.; thence easterly 163.91
feet to a point:on the easterly line of said Lot 15, 177.90 feet north-
easterly of the "point of beginning; thence southwesterly 177.90 feet
along the easterly lines of said Lots 12, 13, 14 and 15 to the point
of beginning."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That prior resolution of this Council,
Council File 227428 adopted February 24, 1966, is hereby rescinded.
