August 14, 1959, the Car Allowance Committee provided for in-Section
5 has reported its findin�,s and recommendations to the Council in a
letter dated November 21,M'1966, and
. WHEREAS, The Council has made a study of said report and recom-
mendations; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the employ-
ees listed below shall be entitled to and receive mileage allowances

The Car Mileage Committee met in the office of the City Architect,
Robert L. Ames, on Monday, November 21, 1966 at 9:00 A.M. The follow-
ing members were present: Messrs. Ames, Clarke, Crea, Merrill,
Rooney and Rosenblum. Requests were given individual consideration
by the Committee.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
A letter dated October 31, 1966, signed by Deputy Commissioner Roger
M. Conway, requested the following:

Josephine Murray, Public From C -$40 max. to C -$50 max. Eff. 11 -1 -66
Health Nurse I
Josephine Murray is no longer working in the Tuberculosis Division,
she has been assigned to a special project -- Information and Refer -
al Service for Home Care. The United States Public Health Service
will be paying her mileage from the appropriate grant.
This request is recommended for approval by the Council.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC -WORKS
Letters dated November 1 and November 21, 1966, signed by John J.
Eichinger, Administrative Assistant, and approved by Commissioner
Robert F. Peterson, contained the following requests:

Robert Groth, Engineering Aide II
C -$30 max. Eff. 11 -1 -66
Mr. Groth has been on A mileage for a period of time to establish a
basis for C mileage, and the Department feels that $30.00 per month
will cover the driving that Mr. Groth is requested to do for the
Department of Public Works in the performance of his duties.

Mr. Peltier is a Foremani and in the performance of his duties drives
a large number of miles each month. He has previously been on B
mileage, and it is the Departmentxs desire to place him on the C
mileage plan.
These requests are recommended by the Committee for favorable action.
