230884ORIGINAL TO CITY CFERK CITY OF ST. PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONI .230884 COUNCIL FILE NO. RESOLVED, That the proper City officials be and they hereby are authorized to accept as a gift to the City a sum of money approximating $15,000.00; be it I• FURTHER RESOLVED, That said amount is to be trans- mitted to the City by Mr. Benjamin M. Storey, Jr. of Kalman & Co., Saint Paul, Minnesota, who is to receive the gift in the form of shares of stock from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous, of an approximate market value of $15,000.00, more or less; and upon receipt of the stock from the aforesaid anonymous donor to sell such stock for and on behalf of the City of Saint Paul; and Mr. Storey is hereby appointed the agent of the City for the purpose of receiving such stock on the City's behalf and selling the same for the City; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the sale of the stock by Mr. Storrey as aforesaid, he will tra:smit to the City the amount received for the sale of said stock in the aforementioned amount, the amount so received to be accepted by the City of Saint Paul for the purpose of relocating a statue belonging to the Parks Department, which statue has significant historical value to the City and is to be established in a formal garden area of Como Park near the Como Conservatory; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That upon the recommendations of the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings and the City Comptroller, said amount is to be placed in a special fund designated "The Como Park Landscape Improvement Fund ", the number of which fund is to be assigned by the City Comptroller And(such amount is to be used in the construction and development of the aforesaid formal garden and any balances in the aforementioned special fund after completion of said garden shall be used in the care and maintenance of such formal garden area until the entire fund has been expended.
