WHEREAS, John E. Blomquist Inc., 712 Northwestern
Bank Building, Saint Paul, Minnesota, has requested permission
to install a 3,000 gallon capacity oil tank under the sidewalk
on the westerly side of West Kellogg Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, The installation of the oil tank before
the winter season is a matter of extreme urgency and necessity
to said John E. Blomquist Inc.; and
WHEREAS, An ordinance, C. F. No.•230870, granting
permission to said John E. Blomquist Inc. to proceed with the
installation of said oil tank has been prepared and introduced
to the Council of the City of Saint Paul on November 17
1966, and has been read before said Council, with an eventual
adoption set to occur on December 8, 1966 ;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That in view of the extreme emergency of
the request, the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized
and directed to issue a permit to John E. Blomquist Inc. for
the installation of a 3,000 gallon capacity oil tank under the
sidewalk on the westerly side of West Kellogg Boulevard at a
distance of 21 feet northerly of the north line of West Seventh
Street, and extending a distance of 32 feet northerly there-
from, subject to the same conditions and requirements as set out
in the ordinance, C. F. No. 230870, pending before the Council
of the City of Saint Paul, and informal approval of said con-
struction being hereby given in anticipation of the final
adoption of said ordinance.
