RESOLVED, That Superamerica Stations, Inc. be and
hereby is permitted to reconstruct an existing gasoline filling
station on property located at the southwest corner of East
Seventh and Broadway Streets, more particularly described as
Lots 1 and 2, Block 5, Whitney and Smiths .Addition to St. Paul,
in accordance with plans dated Received October 11,1966; subject
to compliance with all applicable city ordinances, State
statutes and rules and regulations of public authorities having
cognizance.

This is written in response to the application for a
Permit to reconstruct an existing filling station at the
southwest corner*bf East Seventh Street and Broadway.
The property is described as Lots 1 & 2, Block 5,
Whitney & Smiths Addition.
At the October 6, 1966 Board of Zoning meeting, the staff
reported the plans meet the design standards for this
type facility and the Traffic Engineer has reviewed the
plans as to traffic and recommends approval. Therefore,
it is the recommendation of the Board that the applica-
tion be granted.

A. HISTORY: A Permit was issued to construct & operate a new filling station & car wash
operation this this property in-September, 1959.
B. AREA ZONING: The E. Seventh St. frontage is zoned Commercial, the rest of the area is
zoned industrial.
C. DESIGN STANDARDS. This is an existing operation & there will be no changes in curb
cuts or the surfacing. The only changes under this reconstruction will be the
new location of the two gasoline pump islands. The rest of the facility meets
all of the design standards for setback, drainage & curbing & driveway widths.
D. FRONTAGE & AREA: This rectangular -tract has a frontage of 162.49' along E. Seventh
St. & 154' along both Rosab.el & Broadway Sts. resulting in an area of 16,336 Sq. Ft.
E. TRAFFIC ENGINEER. The applicant's plans were reviewed by the Traffic Engineer nad
and he recommends approval
F: CITY ARCHITECT: The City Architect's report is not required.
G. SITE CONDITIONS: The site is developed with the existing minute car was & filling
station. -
H. AREA CONDITIONS: To the East & North the area is being developed with, the freeway;
E. Seventh St. to the West is developed with Commercial uses; the area to the South
along - Rosabel is, also developed with Commercial uses.

y1 In regard to the application made by Superamerica Stations,
Inc., for permission to remodel a filling station on the South-
west corner of East 7th and Broadway.
They wish to install three (3) islands, six (6) dual gaso-
line dispensers and four (4) 10,000 and one (1) 4,000 gallon
underground storage tanks.
We have investigated the foregoing and report that this
installation will be made in accordance with the rules and
regulations of the St. Paul Fire Prevention Code.
We, therefore, recommend that permission be granted.
