WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works Bureau of Traffic is responsible
for the installation of traffic signal systems in the City of St. Paul, and.,
WHEREAS, The above responsibilities include the interconnection of certain
traffic signals to provide positive control between signalized intersections,
and,
WHEREAS, The cost of electrical interconnection can be substantially
reduced by leasing existing telephone wires; now therefore be itX
RESOLVED, That the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Traffic is hereby
authorized to lease wises from the Telephone Company which will terminate and
interconnect various intersections in the City of St. Paul at an installation
charge of $5.00 per intersection, and a monthly rental charge of $2.25 per
intersection or a total estimated cost of 0300.00; and be it further/
RESOLVED, That this cost be charged to Traffic Control Budget fund 0203 -219,
and this acme fund be reimbursed from Municipal State Aid Suspense Fund.
