' OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK ' COUNCIL RESOLUTION-GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY � �� �� �j� COMMISSIONE , DATF - Whereas, The City Architect, haying requested the City Coun- cil to hold a public hearing to consider the advisability of or- dering the repair or wrecking and removal of the dwelling and a garage at 473 Iglehart Avenue, more particularly described as Lot 22i Block 20, .Macicubin & Marshall' s Addition., according to the plat thereof fi.led of record in the Office of the Registrar of Titles in and for said Ramsey Gounty, Minnesota, the Council held a p.ublic hearing on July 7, 1966 to consider the matter; now, there- fore, be it Resolved, That the City Council, having heard the matter here- in, does hereby approve and adopt as its own the findings and con- clusions of the City Architect that the said structure�constitute�' ' � hazardous building$ as defined by Chapter 393, Minnesota Laws of � , 1965, by reason of t�ea� inadequate maintenance�, dilapidation, physi= cal damage, unsanitary condition, and abandonment, and that tliey - constitute� a hazard to the public health; safety and welfare, as • more fully set out in the attached `letter to the City Council, dat- ed June 14, 1966, which letter is incorporated herein by reference; and be it � Further Resolved, That the City Architect, on behalf of the City Council, is hereby authorized and directed to execute an Order to the last known owner of record of the property, as well as other - interested parties, pursuant to Chapter 393; Minnesota Laws of 1965, to correct the hazardous condition or wreck and remove the hazardous buildings located on said property; and to inform the owner that unless such corrective action is taken to comply with the Order, or an Answer served upon the City of Saint Paul, a Motion for Summary Enforcement of this 0'rder will be made to the District Court, and all necessary expenses incurred by the City of Saint Paul in taking any corrective action herein will be assessed against the real estate and collected as other taxes. Broadway, Minneapolis Twin City Federal Savings t Loan Assn. , 395 Robert St. , Saint Paul , The inspection was n�ade March 22, 1966 and a reinspection on 1�Iay 4, 1966 indicated the conditions were the same. The tiuilding is one and one-half stories in height, of frame construction, and contained a duplex occupancy. 'fhe building is approxiraately 52 feet long, 26l� feet wide, and 24 feet high. It is presently va- � cant� open, and being vandalized. BJISE�N'T � There is only a part basement under the building. Apparent- ly the joists are rotted under the rest of the building as the floora sag badly. FIRST FLO�t (Five rooms and bath) � The walls and ceilings throughout are in poor condition. 1111 four grilles are missing from the heating system. Elec- tric fixtures are broken or missing. ?he kitchen floor sags, � the walls are amashed and the sink has been removed. Bath- room: There are large holes in the floor and walls.
