PAUL FOENCIL NO. _ OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK � COUN R SOLUTION—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE ATF r k I WHERE&S,� the City of St. Paul has undertaken the construction of John Ireland Boulevard from the L-S Frontage Road north of the Vocational School site to near the intersection of Dayton and Summit gvenues; and f�� WI�REA,S, the proposed plans, MHD-S.P. 628a98/cit� P-16�, directs that �"� seed and sod be furnished and installed; and WHEREA,S, it is the judgment of the Commissioner of Public Works that seeding will not sufficiently finish the landscape to a degree necessary to satisfy the priority assigned to the Capitol Approach site; and WI�REA,S, the Minnesota Highw�p Department and the City of St. Paul have entered into a written agreement identified as Minnesota Highway Department - Agreement No. 51�671 which authorizes the Minnesota Highway Department to act as agent for the City of St. P aul, Minnesota in matters relating to City responsibility under MHD-S.P. 6280.•98/City P.•160; and WHEREAS, it is esti.mated �hat�an additional 11,000 square yards of sod will be required in lieu of seed. _�, t ,�,. RESOLVED, that the Minnesota Highway Department is authorized to furnish and place sod within the landscape boundaries of City responsibility as shown on MHD-S.P. 6280-98/City P�160 and delete seeding in its entirety; and �.
