RESOLVED; That the Purchasing Agent be and he is hereby authorized with
the consent of the Mayor and the Comptroller to purchase from TWIN CITY
SHIPYARD, INC, the rental of one Crane Barge and Operator, one Work boat
and operator, one front end loader and operator and one material handling
barge to be used to dredge the area ad3acent to storm sewer outlet just
between the Chicago Great Western Bridge and American Hoist & Derrick
for approximately four (4) eight hour daqs at the rate of $650.00 per
day, without advertisement or competitive bids, pursuant to Section 291
of the Charter of the City of St. Paul as an emergency exists where , -
failure to act promptly would work hardship to the best interests of
the City.
