directed to prepare plans and specifica.tions for said improvement, and submit same ta the Council for

The Cominissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary order
of the ;Council known as Council File No. 227995 approved April 5th. 19 66

relative to reconstructin� the sidewalk on the north side of Hampden Ave. from Ba ly ess
_ St. to Ravmond Ave. and on the east side of Bayless Ave. from Manvel St. to Hampden Ave.
and bv doins all other work which is necessary and incidental to complete said improve-
_ ment.

1. The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per lin. ft, for standard sidewalk 5 ft,
wide and $3:80 per lin, ft. for standard sidewalk 6.ft. wide.

The Council of the City of St. Paul has under consideration Prelimii�azy
Order 227995 approned Ap� 5� 1966 which proposes to
reconstruct the aidewalk on the north side of Hampden Averiue from Bayless
Street to Raymond Avenue and on the east side of Bayless AQenue from
� Marivel Street to Hampden Avenue
except where it is determined that good and sufficient poured sidewalks
exist.
The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per lineal foot for a standard
sidewalk 5 feet wide and $3,80 per lineal foot for a standard sidewalk
6 feet wi.de.
In addition to the above, charges will be made for extra work which is
a particular benefit to the abutting property, such as tree removal,
poured concrete removal, driveways, and additional width of walks, based
on the annual sidetioalk contract prices on file in the Department of
Public Works.
You are hereby notified that a public hearing on the advisability of
said improvement will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall
and Court House at 10:00 a.m. on June 28, 1966
You are invited to meet with the technical advisors in the Council
' Chambers at 9:30 a.m, on the same day if you wish detailed information
regarding the proposed sidewalk construction, or call the sidewa]k de-
partment prior to the day of the hearing at 223-1�255.
