The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary order
of the ,Council knpwn as Council File No. 227916 approved March 30th.1966

relative to reconstructin� the sidewalk on both sides of Gibbs Ave. from Como Ave, to
Brewster Ave. and by doint� all other work which �is necessary and incidental to complete
said imvrovement.

1. The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per lin, ft, for standard sidewalk 5 ft,
wide and $3.80 per lin. ft. for standard sidewalk 6.ft. wide.

The Council of the City of St, Paul has under_consideration Prelimi«ary
Order 2�7916 approved March 30, 1966 W�-ch proposes to
reconstruct the sidewalk on both sides of Gibbs Avenue from Como Avenue
- to Brewster Avenue
except where it is determined that good and sufficient poured sidewalks
exist.
The estimated cost thereof is $3.25 per lineal foot for a standard
sidewalk 5 feet wide and $3.80 per lineal foot far a standard sidewalk
6 fee� wide.
In addition to the above, charges will be made for extra work which is
-� a particular benefit to the abutting property, such as tree removal,
poured concrete removal, driveways, and additional width of walks, based
on the annual sidetaalk contract prices on file in the Department of
Public Works.
You are hereby notified that a public hearing on the advisability of
said improvement will be held in the Council ChatT�ers of the City Hall
and Court House at 10:00 a.m. on Jung 2g� Z96�
You are invited to meet with the technical advisors in the Council
Chambers at 9:30 a.m, on the same day if you wish detailed information
regarding the proposed sidewalk construction, or call the sidewalk de-
partment prior to the day of the hearing at 223-4255.
