The property is a single fami- ly frame dwelling containing four rooms and a full bath, It has a part basement, limeatone foundation and is approximately 38 feet � long by 24'6" wide and 18 feet high and is located on the west side, at the rear of the lot. The condition of the building is as followst � EXTERIORt . The cornice is rotted. The gutter is falling off the build- ing. Ihe siding at the rear of the building is badly broken. BASEI�MT s . ?here is a part basemente ?he joists are spaced two feet on center and there is evidence that they are rotted and sag� • ging. Yhe basement stairs are in very poor condition. Brok- en water pipes are leaking. The hot water heater is vented through the window, which is not in conformance with the code � require�ents. � `�, - - . ` • • Pg. 2 FIRST FLOORt � ?here are four rooms and bath on the first floor (Tiving room, dining room, kitchen, Porch, and bath). There is no room that actually could be called a bedroom. 1. Livinq room: Plaster is poor. Floors sag. Windo�rs are broken. 2. Dining rooms Plaster is cracked, floors sag, windows are broken. . 3. Kitchent Ceiling is falling, plumbing is very poor, floor very poor and sags badly, window sash and glass missing. Ttiere are no electrical outlets. 4. The bath and porch are also in poor condition. The � floors sag, plwnbing is poor, plaster is broken. SE�Im FLO�t The second floor is an attic and has all the windows broken. T'his property is vacant and has been vacant for some time. There is evidence in previous inspections that the property is being vandalized and entered by unauthorized persons. It is the conclusion of the Bureau of Public Buildings that by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, ph�sical damage, uns�nitary condition and abandonment that this building consti- tu�es a hazard to public health, safety and welfare. It is the further recommendation of the City �►rchitect that the Council � hold a public hearing at 10 o'clock A. A�. on Friday, June 24, 1966 to consider the advisability and necessity of ordering� the correction or wrecking and removal of the structure on the sub- �ect Property, and that the City Architect, on behalf of the • City Council, notify by mail �he record owner of the property., in question at the last known address, as well as other inter- ested persons of record� of the date �and time of this hearing. .
