WHEREAS� the playf3eld at L3.nwood Paxk is underaized and does
not provi.de adequate space for desired playground activities; and
WI�REAS, this condition would be improved by an enlargement of
the field; and
W�REAS, the Barton Construct3on Company has agreed to place
fi11 material 3n the area generallg desaribed as lying between Ben-
h311 Road and a 13ne �50 feet north of a.nd parallel aith Benhil].
8oad, aad between Deu ner P1ace and vaaated Vic��r3.a Stlree� in. ac-
cordance with slopes an.d elevations establ3.shed by the Parks Depart-
ment; and
WHERE�.S, the Barton Construction Company agrees to fnrnish in-
suranae to protect the City of Sain� Paul from a11 liability re.sult-
3ng from sa3d pro3ect;
THEREFOBE, BE TT RESOyTTED, that the Barton Construction Company
of Osseo, Minn.esota, be anthor3.zed to enter upon Linwood Park for
the purpose of placing and shap3ng fill material; and
BE IT FIIRTHER RESOLVED, tha� an expression� of apprec3.at3on be
extended �o the Barton Construction Company for their d3.splay of
a3.vic spirit in furnishing, at no Qost to the City, the services,
labor, eq�ipment and materials used in the above noted improvement
pro�ect. ,
