WHEREAS, in the matter of the group insurance program now
established for Saint Paul City employees group insured under
policies with The Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company, insurer,
Policy No. 365379-G, in effect prior to March 1, 1g66, dividends
have accumulated in the amount of $39,565.00 by reason of favorable
mortality experience during the past several years; and
WHEREAS, the Health and Welfare and Insurance Committee
of the City of �aint Paul, at its meeting on May 9, 1966, by motion
unanimously adopted by the members present, recommends to the City
Council that said Council authorize that a portion• of such divi-
dends be paid to those persons4:covered und.er the em loyees group
who were premium-paying insured on February 28, 196G, and on
March 1, 1966, and who had been continuously insured for the six
months prior to March 1, 1g66, or who were coritinuously insured
during the anniversary year ,to a date at which they were compelled
to retire by virtue of mandatory retireinent provisions of existent

RESOLVED, effective Nlarch 1, 1g663--�tYiat 40 percent of the
premium paid by each such insured during the period March 1, 1965
through February 28, 1g66, the total amount of all such refunds
to eligible City employees, including those employees covered
during the anniversary year and who were compelled to retire by
virtue of mandatory retirement provisions of existent law, being
in the �.p.proximate amount of $27,000, be returned to those employees
described in the preceding paragraph of �hi�.Resolution, such
distribution to be made by The Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance
Company as soon as conveniently possible; and be it

� FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to prepare a certified copy of this Resolu'�ion and
deliver the same to The Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company
without unnecessary delay.
