05-466Council �le # �/� Green Sheet # 3026518 CITY Presented RESOLUTION SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA /7 1 WI�REAS, on December 22, 2004, by Resolution #04-1174, the Mayor and the Council of the City of Saint Paul 2 adopted the FY2005 City Budget; and 3 WF�REAS, the FY2005 City Budget included funding for crime prevention acrivities to be carried out citywide by 4 the District Councils and neighborhood based organizations; and 5 WHEREAS, Teens Networking Together, an organization providing services for the Dishict 3\ West Side 6 community ceased operarions at the end of 2004; and 7 WHEREAS, in order to continue to meet the needs of the community, the West Side Citizens Organization and the 8 WestSide5afeNeighborhoodCouncil,bothlongestablishedcommunityorganizarions,havegottentogetherandhaveagreed 9 to each increase their community crime prevenfion programs and efforts; now therefore be it 10 RESOLVED, that upon recommendarion of the Mayor, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve 11 the transfer of the funds originally budgeted in 2005 for Teens Networking Together in the amount of $26,047, be divided 12 equally between the West Side Safe Neighborhood Council and the West Side Citizens Organizafion to conduct cnme 13 prevention efforts on behalf of the west side community; and be it 14 FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city staff are authorized and directed to reflect these changes and secure 15 all necessary agreements. The West Side Citizens Organizarion and the West Side Sai Neighborhood Council, both long established community organizarions, have agreed to each increase their community crime prevention programs and efforts with the addi6onal funding split equally between the organizations.
