WHEREAS, By Council File 226482 adopted December 28,
1965, the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public
Buildings was authorized to submit an application to the
Housing and Home Finance Agency of the Housing and Urban
, Development Agency for a grant of funds authorized by Title
VII of the Housing �ct of 1961 to aid in the acquisition of
open-space land in the Mounds Area of the City of Saint
Pau1; and
WHEREAS, Approval of the application and program was
given by the Department of Housing and Urban Development
April 13, 1966 and a contract providing for a grant in
the amount of �11,500 but not to exceed fifty per cent
(50�) of the actual cost of the Project has been offered
to the City; now, therefore, be it
RESOLV�D, That the acquisition of open-space land for
this locality is in the public interest and the proper
City officials are hereby authorized to execute said
, contract in duplicate upon the terms an.d conditions specified
therein.
