Zhat �dinance No. 3250, approved August 20� 1914� as amended� be and the saane �.s hereby further amended by striking out o� Section 35 F �- the words: "Mental afflictions may be recognized as sickness whe� they take the form of inental diseases recognized by the medical profession." - and� by subst3t�ting in lieu thereof the following'words: ` "Mental a�'fliction may be recognized as sickness when it takes ' , a �orm recognized as a disease by the medical profession and . the a�'f'].icted employee is under medical care and treatment for such af'fliction. Mental afflictions and addictive disorders may be re- cognized as sickness when they take a form recognized by the medical profession. Pregnancy and maternity shall not be deemed sickness under the mean�:n��:of,�this:�Section." , _ By so �ro rk�ing�it makes it possible to treat the legitimate medi- cal condition without including under illness, the malingerer.
