REAS� on April 12� 19Ei6� Almighty God summoned from
this life;��John J. McNeil� Assistant Corporation Counsel for the
City of �a3nt Faul, at the age of 62 years; a graduate of the '
�t. Paul College of Law and a member of the Ramsey County and
Minnesota `State Bar Associations, Mr. McNeil had a long and
laudable career as an attorney and counsellor and pnblic '
servant; following ten years of service with the Ramsey
County Register of Deeds office� he became a member of the
staff of the City Corporation Counsel' s office on May l, 1942�
where he served as Assistant Corporation Counsel until his
untimely demise; and
WHEREAS, his colleagues in the legal profession, his
co-workers and all the employees and officers of the City and
County who knew him, held great affect�on for this fine public
� servant, cooperative and industrious, who was ev�r available
to his fellows in their official anc� personal concerns, and �;�_
who served the City and County well in his long years of public
service� and his presence is now sorely. missed by all; and -
` WHEREA�� the citizens of this City and County have lost
�� . a fine public servant, his grieving family has lost a loving
�`, , husband and father� and we feel his loss personally�
