WFiEREAS, Paragraph 1.63 of Section I of the General Specifications applic-
able to all local improvements awarded by this Council, unless
expressly waived, provides for the retention of a reserve amount
for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of all •guarantees
incumbent upon the Contractor awardee, the same to extend for a
period of one (1) year from the date of the final settlement
-.for the work, and �
WI�REAS, in the matter of the construction of a Water Main on the NAVY
ISLAND BRIDGE, Comptroller� s Contract L-68o1-1, Healy Plumbing
and Heating Company, contractor, a reserve� in the amount of
�500..00 has been withheld since final settlement as of February
8, 1966, and �
WHEREAS, the City of �aint Paul is now prepar�.d to submit to thE U.�.
Government, more particualrly the 'Office of Emergency Planning,
,�or reimbursement purposes all of the costs and disbizrsements
sustained by said City, which submission must be furnished on
or before the llth day of Apri1� 1966, covering its flood� disaster
expenses, and
WHEREAS, in order for the City to include the above mentioned reserve
3 among its expenses for reimbursement, a release of the amount of .
_- �500.00 to said contra:ctor must be shown; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the foregoing re�serve in the amount of �¢500.00, provided
for in said contract, Comptroller� s Contract L-6801-1, be and
the same is hereby authorized for -release to the Healy Plumbing .
and Heating !�ompany, and that said Company is finally discharged
from said contract.
