WHEREAS, Gerald Rogers, an employee of the Department of
Public Safety, Bureau of Policei was injured in a third party
accident on February 7, 1967, while engaged in the performance
of his duties for said Bureau;and
WHEREAS , the City has incurred medical expense in the
amount of $16.50 therefor and said employee was disabled from
work for a period of time, being paid salary in the amount of
$567. 30 ; and
' WHEREAS , a settlement has been negotiated between said
employee and the other party involved in said acc�dent, which
provides for a net settlement of $340.00 ; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are hereby author-
ized to accept in full, final and complete settlement of its
claim herein the sum of $340 .00 , and to execute any necessary
releases therefor, and to endorse draft 1.05675 of Graat Central
Insurance Corapany; that of said settlement, $16.50 is thereby
credited to the Workmen's Compensation Fund and $323.50 to the .
Police Salary Fund; and a draft be issued for the remainder to
Gerald A. Rogers and Richard J. Battis , his attorney�.
