Dear Sir: I
This is in reference to the appeal of Robert N. . Londin to extend the
uses allowed in a commercially zoned district to his entire property.
This property is located at the southeast corner of Sherwood and
Prosperity Avenues and is described as Lot 6, ex. No. 7.35 feet and
all of Lots 7, 8, 9, Block 2, N�lson's Sub•.�ots 19 and 20 in Block 6
and Lot 1 in Block 2, Roger & Hendricks Acre Lots No. 2.
The applicant proposes to construct�a dairy store. At present, the
.Prosperity Avenue frontage is zoned �co�ercial, the remaining one-
sixth of the site is zoned "A" residence. Section 64.03 of the Zon-
ing Code provides that an appeal may be granted to permit extension �
of commercial use to the entire site.
The Board of Zoning considered the latter on September 7, 1967. The
staff reported that a similar extension of commercial use was granted
by the Council on the property directly to the south. The area to
the east is predominantly single-family development, south and adjoin-
ing are two apartment buildings, andjthe Prosperity Avenue frontage is � .
mixed commercial and residential. The area under appeal is to be used
for customer parking and a setback from Hazelwood Street. It was the
findings of the Board that the extension of co�ercial use would be
reasonable as it would not have a detrimental effect on the adjoining
properties. '

Therefore, the Board of Zoning reco�nends approval of the appeal to
� extend the co�ercial use as requestid. • •
