This is ritten in response to the application of R. E. Sagstetter
for a pe it to construct a 68 car parking lot on the north side
of Arlin ton Avenue between Park and Sylvan Streets and further
describe as Lots 13 thru 24, Block 15,Merrill`s Addition.

This mat er was considered at the September 7, 1967 Board of Zon-
ing meet"ng. The staff reported that the plan meets the design
standard for this type facility and that the Traffic Engineer
recommen s approval as to traffic. The Parks Department is inter-
ested in future development of this general area for recreational
purposes but apparently does not intend to purchase this specific
property in the near future. '

Therefor , the Board of Zoning recommends approval of the appli-
cation f r the 68 car parking lot.
