This i written in response to the application of Park Edge
Apartm nts for a permit to construct a 44 car parking lot on
the we�t side of Atlantic Street between Cook and La�xson Avenues,
and fu �ther described as : Lot 17, except that part deeded for
street purposes, Block 5, Hillsdale Addition.
This m tter was considered at the September 7,1967 Board of Zoning
� meetin . The staff reported that the plan meets the design stan-
� dards or this type of facility, but that steps should be taken
�� to gra�e the alley to the north of the property. The Traffic Engi-
neer h�s reviewed the plan and recommends approval as to traffic.

, cation for the 44 car parking lot, provided that steps be taken

C. DESIGN STAN ARDS: Access to parking area is from a platted public alley. An inquiry
' regardin the feasibility of vacating this alley has been made to the Bureau of
valuatio s. �The alley must be graded to Public Work's specifications. The parking
' lot is to have a bituminous surface. A setback to the building line is being main-
tained a�d a buffer of 8 ft. is being provided along the west property line adjacent
to a.residential build.ing.' It is required that the parking area drain to the sej�er.
