� � Re: Authorization of the proper City Officers to execute
Agency Construction Agreement No. 55573 with the �
Minnesota Highway Department in the matter of improvement
of the sewers in Robie Street from the vicinity of Brown
' Avenue to Andrew Street in St. Paul , Minaesota.
EREAS, The State of Minnesota has awa`rded a contract for the construction
of Tru k Highway No. 3 from Annapolis Street to Concord Street and for the
construction of Trunk Highway No. 56 from said Concord Street to the Mississippi
River in St. Paul, Minnesota, designated as State Projects No. 6245-02 (T.H. 3_115)
and No� •6244-03 (T.H. 56-112) ; and .

�a�T' W EREAS, The construction of the main roadways for Trunk Highway No. 5�
t o b r i g e s (T.H. 5 6 o v e r C o n c o r d S t r e e t) w i l l r e q u i r e t h e c o n s t r u c t i o n o f
roadwa embankments approximately 15 feet in height where the roadways cross •
Robie treet; and
, W�IEREAS, The construction of the sewer facilities prior to the placing of
the ro dway embankment fill will result in a substantial savings to the City of
St. Pa l , Minnesota, and
. � W EREAS, The City of St. Paul , Minnesota, agrees to advance to the
�' Commis ioner of Highways the estimated c�pst sum of $15,966.78 which will be .
� flnanced from the City laterceptor Sewer Fund 0236-461 in the amount of $6,376.93
and fr�xn Urban Renewal Bonds in the amount of $9,589•$5 or if the latter
' financ ng is not available the sum in the amount of $9.589•$5 wi11 be provided
f rom t e City's share of Local Improvement Fund Code 0920-701 .
W EREAS, The final cost of the undertaking will be based on the unit
prices as set forth in Minnesota Department of Highways Supplemental Agreement
_ No. 1 o Contract No. 12773 and will be financed proportionally as set forth
by thelformula satisfying the estimated cost sum of $15,966.78 payment; and
NQW THEN BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City officers be and they are
herebylauthorized and directed to execute on behalf of" the City of St. Paul,
Minnespta Agency Construction Agreement No. 55573 with the Minaesota Highway
Department co�rering said sewer construction in Robie Street in the City of
St. Pa�l , Minnesota.
