�EREAS, The Cormnittee on Lands, composed of the Mayor, the
Purchasing Agent, and the Commissioner of Public Works of the City
of Saint Pau1, has secured an agreement for the purchase of that
certain property described as follows: .
Solth thirty-two (S. 32) feet of Lots 11 and 12, Block 20,
Robertson and Van Ettens Addition to Sai.nt Paul, together
wi-�h easement for ingress and egress created in Book 1192
Deeds, page 447.
Wf-]EREAS, The property described therein is necessary for the �
opening and widening of Marion Street from University Avenue to
Como venue, and the price at which the property may be purchased
is at the total amount of $9,000, a fair and reasonable price
, accor ing to the appraisal obtained by the CorrQnittee on Lands; and
�REAS, Said Committee has recommended the purchase of said
� property at the price stated above, as evidenced by the letter of
' said �ommittee submitted herewith; now, therefore, be it
� RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the
. City pf Saint Paul, the Council of the City of Saint Paul does
hereby authorize the pi�rehase. of the land described as:

RESOLVED Further that the proper city officials are hereby

owner�, and Josephine R. Kennebeck, contract for deed vendee, the .
sum of $9,000, said sum to be paid to the aforesaid vendors from
• PIR Fund Code 6000, to be reimbursed from 1968 M.S.A. Fund,
Proje�t No. 64-160-05, upon theix furnishing evidence of good
marke able title in the aforesaid vendors, and the total payment
to be made upon tender by said parties of appropriate deeds •
' conve ing title to said property to the City of Saint Pau1.

has negotiated to purchase certain property described as follows:

Saint Paul, together with easement for ingress and
; egress created in Book 1192 Deeds, page 447,
, The ow�ner of the above described lands, Josephine R. Kennebeck,
has ac�cegt�d an offer tendered her by the City in the amount of
$9,000.00 as compensation for the sale of the said land to the

, This $roperty, including land and buildings, is needed by the
City f Saint paul for right-of-way for the opening and widening
of Ma�ion Street from Uni:versity Avenue to Como Avenue. In view
of th� reasonable price for which it can be purchased, said price
being� the appraised fair and reasonable market value thereof, we,
j the Committee on Lands, do recommend to the Council of the City
; of Sa�int Paul that it authorize the purchase of said land in lieu
� of c ndemnation proceedings at the price of $9,000.00, as nego-
' tiat d with the owner.
