The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
. upon the above improvement, and having�considered said report, hereby resolves: ` �-_ . ,
, , 1. That the sa,id report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement.
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with. . .
2. That the nature of th� improvement which the Council recommends is
. to condemn and take an easement in the land necessary for the slopes, cuts and fills,
� including right of removal of lateral support from bubject land or remainder thereof,
occasioned by excavations thereof or construction of 'slopes in the grading and sur- � -
facing with .bituminous material the east-west alley in Dana and Hume's Subdivision,
Freeman' s Subdivision and Schiffmann Place from the north-south alley to Forest Street
and the north-south alley in-Dana and Himae's Subdivision from Sth Street to 6th .
Street, in accordance wi.th the blueprint hereto attached and made a part hereof, the
hatched portions sliowing the cuts and the�shaded portions showing the fills.

Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the �th day of
�Iovember� 1967 , at the hour of 10'o'clock A.M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the �ity of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
. said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta,ting the time and place of
� - ` hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated. -
