W: ,
The City Council, in 2004,, vacated streets which had been designated as MSA. Consequently, they no longer meet
State's criteria for inclusion in the MSA system. Addirionally, Saint Paul has been identified as having excess
mileage designated as MSA (O.bl miles over the statutory limitation).
1DVAMAGES IF APPROVED: '
The revocarions, along with other changes, wiil bring the City into comptiance with the State's criteria and statutes,
DISAOVAMAOES IF APPROVED: .
Since Saint Paul's MSA xnileage is a component of the annual aliocation of State (gas tax) fixnding to the City, a
'`,f reduction in mileage will reduce funds.
NTAGESIF-NOTPPPROVED:
'ity will not be allowed to make other revisions to its MSA system until it is in compliance with the statute.
it is preferable not to be identified as one of only rivo cities in the state having excess mileage on the system.
