1 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department, has received a grant from the Minnesota
2 Department of Public Safety for a children's crisis response program; and

WHEREAS, this program provides on site crisis response to situations where a child is in crisis or
needs assistance; and
WHEREAS, the matching funds for this grant will be provided by the service provider, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has prevoiusly authorized the City of Saint Paul to enter into the
grantagreemenh and
WHEREAS, a 2005 financing and spending plan needs to be established for this grant; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does
certify that there are available for appropriation Sunds of $SQ000, in excess of those estimated in
the 2005 budget; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2005 budget:
