Dear Sir:
This is written in response to the application of C. G. Rein Company
for an Appeal regarding certa3.n requirements of the Zoning Code in
relation to property along the east side of Birmingham 9venue between
Magnolia and Mechanic Avenues. This property is described as the
south 70 feet of the north 170 feet of Lots 4 and 5, Block 2, Ames
Outlots. �
The north 100 feet of Lots 4 and 5 is zoned Light Industrial and the
south 70 feet is zoned "B" Residence. Section 64.03 of the, Zoning
Codes provides for an appeal to permit the� use allowed in the Light
Tndustry zone to extend to the entire property. •
This matter was considered at the August 3, 1967 Board of Zoni�ig
meeting. The staff reported that the area to the north is developed
as the Phalen Shopping Center; west is new single-family residences;
� northeast is multi-fami.ly residences; and east and south is scattered
single-familq residences.
The Board of Zoning recommends approval of the extension of the use
allowed in the portion, qf the property zoned Light Industry to the
entire lot. '

conf orm to the front 100 feet of said lot which is similarly
zoned.
We would like to amend our request in said letter to also include
the extension of the light industri.al zoning to the rear 70 geet
of Lot Five (5) , Block ltao (2) � except the South 170 feet thereof
