05-242Council File # �' �Z Green Sheet # 3025683 Presented Referced To Coznmittee Date 1 WIIEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of Saint Paul deem it an appropriate public purpose to recognize City employees 2 for their commihnent and dedication to public service through an annual Employee Picnic, and 3 4 5 6 7 � 1 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 WEIEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor aze desirous of recognizing City employee efforts, dedication, and service commitment, believing that it promotes positive employee morale and results in excellent public and customer service for Saint Paul citizens, and WFIEREAS, the City Employee Services Committee is preparing for the annual Employee Picnic to be held the evening of August 09, 2005, at Como Pazk, and WIIEREAS, it is tradirional for local businesses and unions to contribute funds, goods or services to be awazded to employees who attend the picnic and make their names available to be selected through random drawings in order to encourage employees to attend the picnic; and RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council requests and accepts donations from azea merchants, unions, and others to have available for random drawings at the Employee Picnic to be held on August 09, 2005, and that such donaUons shall be deemed to be gifts tA the City of Saint Pau1; and be it FiJRTHER RESOLVED, that such donations shall be deemed to be donarions to the City within the meaning of secrion41.03 of the Administrarive Code, and in compliance with all the requirements of chapter 41 of the Administrative Code.
