WHEREAS , Dennis T. Simon, an employee of the Department of
Public Works , was injured in a third party accident on October 27 , 196�,�
while engaged in the performance of his duties for said department; an
WHEREAS , employee was disabled from work for a perios� of time ,�
being paid compensation in the amount of $3 ,330:72, and the• City has
inc�rrred certain medical expenses therefor; and:• , �
WHEREAS , a compromise set.tlemen.t has been negotiated between '
said employee and the other party involved in said accident which pro-
vides 'that the City shal.l receive $5 ,000.00 of its subrogation interes
by reason of injury to its employee, less attorney's fees , or a net -
settlement to the City of $3 ,228.22 , now, therefore, be it •

RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized .
to accept in full, final and complete settlement of its claim herein
the sum of $3 ,228.22 ; said amount to be eredited to the Workmen's Compensatio
Fund. , :
