WI�REAS, the Civic Center Commission, under the
authority of Chapter 459, Laws of Minnesota for 1967, has
recommended that the City Council authorize the preliminary
planning fo= a new arena; now, therefore, be it _
RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium
and Civic Buildings and the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation
and• Public Buildings, by and through the City_ Architect, are
hereby authorized and' directed to notify Convention Center
Arehitects, in writing, to proceed with preliminary plan
� preparation for the construction of a new arena for the Civic
Center with parking facilities and tunnel connection to the
" Eagle Street Ramp (design development drawings) Project No.
P-M.inn.-3090, as provided in Comptroller' s Agreement No. 1689,
Article 16, Subdivision A. -
