William Donovan Date: October 18 1966 � � � Subject: Improve Lexington Parkway from St. Clair Avenue to West Seventh Street Date of Hearing on Ratification of Assessment � � � October 19, 1966 � � The hearing on the ratification of the assessment on the above refer- � � enced project has beerr sclieduled this date based on the following � estimated assessment rates for resurfacing work: „' Residential $3.60 per assessable foot " Com'1 & Apt. $4.60 per assessable foot : 4- 4 � The above estimated assessment rates for the resurfacing work were approved at the time of the final order on this matter. These rates were based on the engineerts preliminary report dated December 16, 1963. � The Department of Public Works has most recently reported by letter i: that the actual final costs of a 12 foot wide strip amounts to $4.10, f Since Section 235 of the City Charter states that the amount which may be assessed against abutting property for paving any street shall � not exceed the cost of a strip of such pavement 12 feet wide adjacent - to the property thus assessed, I recommend that the estima-�ed rates ` for this project be reduced to the following: .
