price according to the appraisal obtained by the Committee on Lands; an '

WI-IEREAS, said Committee has recommended the purchase of said � 't

RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 303 of the Charter of the �
City of Saint Paul, the Coun,cil of the City of Saint Pau1 does hereby ,

RESOLVED Further that the proper city officials are hereby �, � ;
authorized and directed to pay to the Crispus Attucks Home, Inc. , , j
vendor of said property, the sum of $28,700.00, said sum to be paid i
to the aforesaid vendor from PIR Fund 6000 to be reimbursed from
Bond Fund No. 7200-ST-32, upon its furnishing an abstract of title ' r
continued to date evidenci.ng good marketable title in the Crispus a
Attucks Home, Inc. , and the total payment to be made upon tender by �
said party of an appropriate warranty deed conveying title to said I�
property to the City of Saint Paul.

Gentlemen:

The City of Saint Paul, acting through its Valuation Engineer,
has negotiated to purchase certain property described as �
f ollows: I�

Lot 10, Irvines Addition of Outlots to the
Town of St. Paul, acc.
The owner of the above described land, Crispus Attucks Home,
Inc. , has accepted an offer tendered by the City in the amount '
of $28,700.00, as compensation for the sale of the said land
to the City.
This property, including land and buildings, is needed by the �
City of Saint Paul for right-of-way for the Arch-Pennsylvania ��
Highway. In view of the reasonable price for which it can be
purchased, said price being the appraised fair and reasonable �
market value thereof, we� the Committee on Lands, do recommend �
to the Council of fhe City of Saint Paul that it authorize the
purchase of said 1-and in lieu of condemnation proceedings at
the price of $28,700.00 as negotiated with the owner.
