Whereas, Additions and Deductions which might prove to be necessary in the
Improvement descr"ibed as the TENTH STREET CLEAR WATER SEi�1ER, Comptroller's Contract
L-6890, Underground Services, Inc. , Contractor, have been provided for in the
Specifications, and -,
• Whereas, It has been found necessary to make the following Additions and Deduction : �
ADDITIONS: '
The work covered by this contract included a 2'-6" x 6'-0" sewer tunnel in sand- ;
rock in Tenth Street from St. Feter 6t. to 290' west of St. geter St. with a full concret �,
lining for 28.6 feet at the St. Feter St. end and 33.75 feet at the west end with the �
remainder of the tunnel to be partiallq lined. • '
The sandrock material encountered at the St. P�eter St. end is so soft that a full
concrete lining will be required beyond the limits shown in the plans. Since there are
indications that harder sandrock exists at a higher elevation� the grade of the tunnel
will be modified by raising the invert by 13 feet to 60 feet of length and then on a �
suitable straight grade to the west end of the tunnel. ,
The extra costs involved in this revision are as follows:
• Solid timber lining in sof t sandstone - 45 lin. ft. @ $125.00 = 5,625.00
Additional concrete for full lining - 45 lin. ft. @ $ 80.00 = 3,600.00
Extra cost of moving concrete lining forms due to break in grade = 1,500.00 i
Total extra cost $10,725.00

Resolved, That the City of St. Faul through its City Council approves the foregoing �
additions made in accordance with the Specifications in the sum of $6,525.00, said amoun"
to be added to the lump sum cons�ideration named' in the contract, known as Comptroller's
Contract No.� L-6890, which amount is to be financed by Capitol Approach Bond Funds No.
7220.
