1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL, NIINNESOTA
2 APPROVING MINNESOTA LAWS 2005, CHAPTER 152,
3 ARTICLE 2, SECTION 28

5 WHEREAS, the 2005 session of the Minnesota I.egislature passed and the Governor
6 signed Minnesota Laws, 2005, Chapter 152, Article 2, Section 28 which authorized the
7 establishment by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota
8 of certain tax increment financing subdistricts; and

WHEREAS, such legislation requires local approval in accordance with Minnesota
Statute §645.021; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul desires such law to become effective.
NOW THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul
that Minnesota Laws, 2005, Chapter 152, Article 2, Section 28 is hereby approved.
BE Tl' FLTRTF3ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to submit the
appropriate certificate and a copy of this Resolution to the Secretary of State of the State of
Minnesota by December 31, 2005.

_ 23 _ BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is instructed to submit to Ramsey County
24 Department of Property Records & Revenue a copy of this resolution which includes Exhibit A
25 naming the affected tax increment financing subdistricts and their taac identification numbers by
26 December 31, 2005.

Over the last few years some IiRA TIF districts have multiple pro�ects in the same TIF dishict: Khis state law change allows us to create
a series of subdistricts to make increment collection easier and saves tens of thousands of dollars of administrarion costs.
