WNEREAS, unusually heavy depths of snowfall have occurred during this winter "�
season covering boulevards and sidewalka, in addition to restricting p�
the useable width of streets, and _ E�

WHEREAS, widespread snow removal would be prohibitive from a cost standpo� ��t 'j
and future snow plowings will result in still narrower streets, �nd ��

WHEREAS, �assage of all vehicles is greatly restricted on many residential; �E
and secondary streets and it is imperative that sufficient width��be :.�
allowed f or the prompt response of fire, police and other emerge� cy .�
equipment and vehicles; � - �
TFIEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, That the City Council, recognizing the import ce ; �
of preservin� and insuring the fullest possible use of City stre�ets � �
for the public welfare and safety, hereby recommends and requests
that effective March 1, 1967 the fullest volun�.ary cooperation and � �
compliance to the elimination of all vehicle parking on the odd �� '4 �
number side (north side of east-t�rest streets and west side of ' `.
- north-south streets) of all secondary and residential type stree�ts ,h �
which are not posted with snow emergency signs and which do not -, r
have one side parking bans already existing, such ban to be in - `E �
effect until April l, �.967 or until rescinded by the City Counci1 , € �
