05-1162Council File # �5 - tl (.Z Green Sheet # �gZ89 3Z Presented By: Referretl To: RESOLUTION OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA 3� Committee: Date � SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION z 3 a 5 6 � a 9 io �� iz 13 �a �s 16 n ia is zo z� zz 23 2a 2s 26 27 2s zs 30 37 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to the City Charter has proposed and recommended the 2006 butlgets for Yne City of Saint Paul, aod W HEREAS, the proposed 2006 General and General Debi Service budgets have been reviewed and approved or adjusted by the City Council, and ' W HEREAS, the City is required under Laws of Minnesota 2002, Chapter 390, Sec. 37, to levy a tau at the Library Board's request, which the Library Board has made, and W HEREAS, the property tax levy needed to finance those budgets, with allowance for shrinkage, has been determined, and adjusted by the City Council, and W HEREAS, the Port Authority of the City of Saint Paul requested a property tax levy to fnance economic development budgets under laws of Minnesota, Chapters 469.053 subd 4, and 6, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Counal in anticipation of adopting the General Fund, General Debt Service, and Library Agency budgets for the fisral year 2006, and in accordance with section 11.04 of ihe City Charter, does hereby levy taxes on all taxable property wiihin the Saint Paul corporate limits, to be collected in the amounts set forth below, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council directs the Ciry Clerk to forward this resolution to the Ramsey County Department of Property Records and Revenue in accordance with the applicable provisions of the City Charter and other laws, and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the City Council directs the Offce of Financial Services to complete and fonvard any state forms required identifying these adopted levies; Descriotion City levy for city operations and shrinkage Ciiy levy for Debt Service and shnnkage City levy for Library Agency operations and shrinkage City levy for Port Authority levy per Mn.
